The Initiative for coal regions in transition in the Western Balkans and Ukraine will host an annual meeting, whose aim is to support open, multi-stakeholder dialogue on coal phase out and just transition towards sustainable energy sources in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo*, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, and Ukraine. It will feature presentations and updates from the European Commission and international partners leading the initiative.
The meeting will bring together representatives of national and regional public authorities, international organisations, energy sectors, NGOs, academia, businesses and media.
RES Foundation’s Programme Director Aleksandar Macura will participate in Panel discussion 1: Voices from the coal regions on socio-economic challenges, on June 23 at 14:30 CEST.
Interpretation to Albanian, Croatian, Bosnian, Macedonian, Montenegrin, Serbian, Russian, and Ukrainian will be provided.
